PAPERINA

Introduction:

Paper presentation is an individual competition where each participant is required to make a paper about a given topic or area, and then present it front of the juries. The main purpose of paperina is to enhance participants activity in writing or making papers in English as well as to present it, and also to broaden the mind of the participants.

Team formation:

  1. Team can have maximum of two participants. 

  2. No participants can be part of more than one team.

  3. It is not necessary that the participants forming a team should be from the same college.

  4. There is no restrictions on the number of teams from the same college.

Presentation rules:

  1. The paper submitted will have to be presented during the event.

  2. Hard copies of the same are to be submitted before presentation to judges.

  3. The teams will get eight minutes to present their paper, and two minutes will be for questioning by judges.

  4. The participants will have to present their papers in Microsoft Power Point (PPT) format only.

  5. Violation of any rule can result in rejection of paper.

  6. The organizers reserve the right to change/update the rules of the contest at any point of time and will do their best to inform to participants of the same. However it is ultimately the responsibility of the teams to keep themselves updated

Paper format rules

  1. The paper should be in IEEE format.

  2. The abstract may not exceed the limit of two pages.

  3. Frontpage should have the paper title on the top and details of the team members at the bottom.

  4. It should have an abstract attached.

  5. Font style for text: Times new roman.

  6. Font size for text: 12 points.

  7. Font size for headings: 16 points.

  8. Font size for headings: 14 points.

  9. Margin of 1 inches from all sides.

​Rules & regulations:

  1. Your works should be original and in the specified format.

  2. Interested candidates are advised to mail the complete paper in IEEE format and presentation in PPT or PPTX format.

  3. The competition is open to all Engineering students.

  4. Students are requested to send their papers to dotzvr9.0@gmail.com.

  5. The participants of shortlisted candidates will be informed by E-mail or by mobile.

  6. Directly copying from the internet is strongly discouraged and will not be entertained.

  7. All the candidates will get participation certificates.

  8. The participants should come with their college ID card.

  9. Interested candidates can contact the student coordinators for any clarification or further details.

  10. Jury decision will be the final decision.

  11. All the rights are reserved with Dotz v9.0 2022 event committee.

  12. Please mention your discipline/branch in which you will be presenting your paper submitted in the given mail.

Spot seminar

​Introduction:

A seminar means a class or meeting, but it carries with extra weight. An educational seminar indicates a small, advanced study while a meeting labeled as such means an intense exchange of ideas. Here we have an on-spot seminar. Focuses on imparting knowledge on not more than one topic in each session. Prepare yourself for the unexpected opportunity to shine in your career.

Rules:

  1. A team can have maximum of 1 participant

  2. Any sort of malpractice would lead to disqualification of the team.

  3. The topic will be provided on-spot.

  4. The results of the judges & organizers are final.

  5. There will be only one round.

Brain Teaser

Introduction:

A brain teaser is a form of puzzle that requires thought to solve. It often requires thinking in unconventional ways with given constraints in mind; Sometimes it also involves lateral thinking. Logic puzzles and riddles are specific types of brain teasers.

Rules:

  1. Team can have a minimum of 1 participant.

  2. There are two rounds.Both the rounds are written type.

  3. Round 1: This round has 40 questions in the test and the time given is 45 minutes.

  4. There will be no negative marking​.

  5. You will not get any extra rough paper in the exam.

  6. The shortlisted person will get into round 2.

  7. Round 2: This round has 20 questions in the test as well as the time is given during the test.

  8. All candidates will get participation certificates.

  9. The participants should come with their college ID cards.

Rules:

  5. First round - Paper-based round.

  6. Second round - Computer-based round.

Webify

Introduction:

Webify is an online event that is hosted by our college to selected individuals through their computer via internet. The main purpose of this event is that it is engaging, relevant and informative for others as well. There are no restrictions on the number of students from the same college.

Rules:

  1. Number of rounds - 2

  2. Time per round - 1hr

  3. Basic requirements - Computer with stable internet connectivity (minimum 5mbps), Generator/Inverter (not compulsory), stopwatch (not compulsory).

  4. Software requirements - Bootstrap, Chrome DevTools, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle Database.

  5. Work should be original and in the specified format.

  6. Event is open to all engineering students.

  7. Only the shortlisted candidates will be allowed to perform in round 2. It will be informed through E-Mail or mobile number.

  8. Same web designs are rejected.

  9. Participants must have their college ID cards.

  10. Any sort of malpractice will lead to disqualification.

  11. Decision of the judges and the event heads shall be treated as the final result.

  12. For any classifications or further details, the interested can contact the faculty or event heads.

  13. All the participants will  get participation certificates.
